Great typing feel and sound with a couple small downsides

I got this keyboard for productivity and I love the typing feel and sound! The layout is nice and the build quality is on the next level. With all that said, the keycaps have a weird shine through effect above the legend and the lack of VIA is kinda a bummer. I am still very happy with the keyboard and knew all of these downsides before making the purchase.

I simply love it

I have about 20 different keyboards at home, including various mechanical ones. For a while, I was ready to give up trying to understand the hype around mechanical keyboards. I thought they were noisy, outdated, and uncomfortable—who even buys these? I even bought a $500 keyboard that was better than most, but it was a hybrid between mechanical and membrane, and still, it wasn’t perfect. At that point, I thought I was just a membrane guy and would never understand why people love mechanical keyboards.

Then I decided to give it one more try and bought the Lofree Flow 100. After purchasing the version with linear switches, I went ahead and ordered the clicky ones as well. Now, I’m torn between the two and can’t decide which I like better. I had watched quite a few YouTube reviews on this keyboard, many of which criticized the build quality, saying the aluminum was thin and the keyboard wasn’t heavy enough. Luckily, I saw those reviews after buying the keyboard. That turned out to be a good thing because this is, without a doubt, the best keyboard I’ve ever used or could have dreamed of. It feels incredibly solid, heavy compared to my other mechanical keyboards, and the sound and typing experience are just amazing. I actually look forward to working just so I can use it again. I absolutely love it.

Mechanical keyboards are hard to get right, but this one nails it. You won’t regret buying it. I’ve tried a lot of different keyboards—Keychron, Leopold, Ducky, and others—but none of them come close to this, at least for me. The sound and feel are incredible.

What would I improve? I wish the switches were softer, though I realize that’s a personal preference. I like the softest switches possible, the kind that almost press themselves. That’s why I’m excited to hear that the new Lofree Lite version will have lighter switches—I’ve already preordered it via Kickstarter and can’t wait for it to arrive. The only other area for improvement is the lighting. I feel like it could be more premium, though I’m not quite sure how that would look.
